Things have been moving at a slower pace.
Tricia has been staining and finishing the stairs.
The rest of us have been taping, sanding, sanding, sanding, taping, floating, sanding, floating, sanding, and did I mention sanding! Our goal is to texture and paint within the next couple of weeks.
We got pumped again over the weekend as we stepped back and looked at how far we have come! The lake is absolutely beautiful. As we drove up out there Saturday morning it was so still it looked like a piece of glass. It is up to the edge of the backyard.
We are ready to get finished so that we can begin to enjoy. We have been blessed to have a family that has turned this dream into reality. We have been blessed to have family and friends to support us thru this project.

Wow!! It just keeps getting better all the time. Wish we were there to see it instead of down here dealing with all the chaos from Ike. We were lucky to come home to electricity and no real damage. Unfortunately I can't say the same for my school and students. We got power yesterday and started to school today without drinkable water. Thank goodness for bottled water and hand sanitizer!
Our love to all!!
